We all have a desire for love and acceptance by others. As humans, we tend to be social in nature as a way to fulfill the need of love and belongingness. People become social by joining groups, clubs, professional associations, churches, and sororities/fraternities to name a few. We seek to accomplish goals in life in our work performance and positive feedback from our peers. Once all lower level needs are met, Maslow’s theory suggest that the fulfillment of those needs progress towards ones self-actualization of their greatest potential.
